I have painted landscapes assembled from multiple photographs before. But this one was the first time where I assembled a portrait from multiple pictures. The trunk was from a picture of Anushka Sharma, the face a made up one and the hand that of yours truly. Although the transparent veil was an after thought, it seemed to draw the most attention at my very first show. The border on the ghunghat was the most time consuming part of the painting.
