Filet Crochet Forest

I was looking for a cross stitch bunny pattern that I could use for a filet crochet project. I started off wanting to make a doily I could use to cover an end table. When I found this pattern in a cross stitch pattern book, I fell in love with it and decided to crochet the entire forest scene.

I adapted the cross stitch pattern to crochet by substituting 4 treble crochet stitches or a chain space with 2 chains as required for each little square in the pattern graph. I used white coloured thin cotton yarn and a size 9 0.85mm needle. When I was done with the project, I decided to just go ahead and mount it on the wall.

I would love to hear your ideas for mounting it on the wall. Instead of framing it, I would like to be able to remove it whenever I want and wash it.

Update: Framed it finally! I lost the floral border, but it looks way better. Lesson learnt: next time I make something it should be standard frame size.
