Painted kolams

 

In the above kolam, I painted some thermocol brown to give it an earthy tone and then painted the kolam on it with white acrylic paint.

 

These two were used as stage backdrop in Pongal Festival 2013 in Las Vegas. This was acrylic paint on top of thermocol wrapped in brown paper.
