I have had this beautiful variegated Simply Soft yarn in my stash for long. Recently when I was going through my stash trying to come up with ideas for my next project, the soft colours caught my attention and screamed baby cardigan to me. The soft green yarn for the sleeves and the border highlights the colours in the variegated yarn even more. I looked up Ravelry for inspiration and found a pattern for a top down baby cardigan. I will update the post once I find the link.
I knitted the two fronts, back and the sleeves separately bottom up and sewed them all together. Finally when I was all done, I realized I had forgotten the button holes! No problem. What baby girl wouldn't want flowers in her cardigan! So I crocheted these cute flowers onto the right front and chained loops on the left side to go around the flowers and there we have our buttons!
