Quilt

This quilt is one of my longest projects. I started this sometime in 2015 and finished it maybe in 2018 and it has taken me another 3 years to click a picture of it.

Back in the US, I took a quilting class with a dear friend of mine. When we started the class, she did not have fabric yet, so she helped me make some of mine. I have fond memories of both of us hanging out at the class and then at each other’s homes sewing together. We started with this, then also stitched dresses for our daughters. She made a huge bookshelf pattern quilt for her daughter which turned out super awesome. Someday I want to make it.

The colourful strips in the middle were from a jelly roll and then I purchased the yellow and blue fabric separately.I love that they sell these coordinated strips of fabric for quilting. They just look so good together.

I am happy I chose to make a big adult size quilt. Now we spend many winter afternoons sitting on it crafting.
